Did you have the pressure plate replaced as well? Mine did that and it turned out being the pressure plate. A little vibration through the pedal as well as a rumbling could also be the pilot bearing.
hope that helps
Cheers

Today when pushing the clutch pedal it did not want to move.
Being in heavy trafic I pressed harder with a crunching sound coming what seems to be from inside the cab.
The clutch feel was different and also the hardness.
It became very light and the travel also seems to feel different.
Looked inside cab and found nothing wrong/broken and the cylinder has no oil leaks in the engine bay.
The fluid level also was the same.
Had the Flywheel, clutch, spigot nearing and thrust bearing replaced some 20000km ago with OEM parts.
There is also no rumbling or feed back through the pedal.
Any suggestions on what could be the posssible cause.

Hi Hendrik
The whole assy was replaced. No fibrations also.
This morning the pedal feel was notchy as if is cathing it.
Will have a look at the spring again but also could be a finger on the pressure plate.
I am just worried that some catastrophic failure might be on the horiszon.
cheers

Have a look at the pedal pivot inside the car.
Chech to see if anything like a wire or anything else has fouled it.Also check the bolt or pin or bushes on the pivot to see if they are intact.Unfamiliar with the D2 setup as Ive never looked but have had this sort of issue on non-Landy vehicles and machinery.
Goodluck

Well I hope Andy's right!
The symptoms you describe are much like what happened to my Wrangler. Brand new clutch assembly, maybe a couple of thousand km's at the most. Then...hard pedal, no pedal some drive then no drive. Thought maybe the slave had gone but was a catastrophic failure of the pressure plate. Manufacturing fault.
Well respected, innovative U.S. clutch manufacturer - wouldn't even reply to my emails.
Good luck and I really hope it's something simple.

Master cylinder or spring.
Just pressing pedal to see what happens and the same sound was heards.
I was worried for a bit but now more relaxed.
Was not the spring so decided to repalce the master cylinder.
Got the Britpart one.
Installed it and then the problem.
It does not want to bleed.
even uscrewed the bleed valve totally so that fluid runs out by itself.
But still does not want to bleed.
Tried the one man setup and two person setup. (Me + wife)
Any advice on what I am doing wrong.
Struggled a lot to get it bleeding. Also did a search on net and found it to be a common problem.
After a while my knuckles was the only thing bleeding.
Eventually gave up and decided to plan the way foreward in steps.
1) Got myself a Whisky. I this is your first step, please do not drive again for the day.
2) Start bleeding the brakes as I cganged to synthetic oil.
3) Then bleed the clutch.
Well, I got my whisky and started to bleed the brakes.
All went quick. Then got another whisky.
While doing the last wheel I saw the possible problem.
All the plugs on the brakes has almost no play when loose.
The clutch plug has a lot of play.
While bleeding the clutch. air just gets back in.
Used teflon tape on the thread and bled the system.
All was fine after a short while and the clutch felt normal.
Tomorrow will be the test to see if my plan actually worked.![]()
set up as for normal bleeding. Fill reservoir and put bleed hose in a jar.have assistant open nipple right up while you blow with your mouth in to the reservoir. Get your assistant to tell you
a) when fluid is coming out.
b) when the air stops.
Make SURE the reservoir is topped off.
This was the only way that worked to bleed mine and my sons D2
