Mech says ECU "upgraded" by a guy in Sydney called Davis. Anyone heard of him?
Anyway, the car pulls well & certainly packs more punch but so it should given the state it was in before hand. Trouble is, after driving my old LPG Patrol around for a few days it's hard to judge the improvement!
My concern now is that this is going to turn into one of those "pull a thread on your shirt" scenarios.
Coincidently now after having this work done, the cruise control now doesn't work & the temp guage doesn't get to even warm. I have tried to nut out if there is any connection to the work done. Mech now says the temp guage issue is "just the thermostat". It was working perfectly before the ECU was changed over.
BTW the old ECU had oil still draining out of it after 2 days!
Anyone know if there is any relationship between the temp guage & ECU??
