    v8 exhaust

    gday im chasing ideas to mod the exhaust without spending a fortune , want decent sound without annoying highway grumbles and 4am wakeups

    any success with v8 extractors
    mendrel bends/removed mufflers ect

    just cut the centre muffler out,,

    If it's a d2 4ltr, cutting the resonaitor off the back makes them sound just right
    Matman did it to his, sounds the goods!!

    muffler

    looks like im replacing the muffler and removing the resonator dont know if its worth changing the cats?

    I put Lukey Ultraflo on mine front and rear in a 2.5" using thesame dimensions as the OE mufflers but it barks and sounds really clacky like a 253 Holden above 2000 rpm. I don't like them.
    Look at Magnaflows. Taz has a magnaflow and STD rear muffler and it sounds quite good.
    Ultraflo has no volume in the can making it pass thru quite fast and not absorbing much of the resonance giving that nice deep note under load without all the crackle.

    is it worth leaving the resonator one, and just replacing the muffler
