I have the same problem as well.

Can you fit a D1 flap with lock onto the D2? That crappy bit of plastic isnt the best security for $100+ of fuel...

you could just fit a locking cap instead of "messing" with the door.

God, you guys have cheap fuel to.............

Currently UK price is equivalent to 2.03 AUD per Litre.

Mine's done it several times ... so I bought a new plastic fuel latch doo-hicky ... haven't fitted it, and has never happened since I purchased ?? ... scared the old one into submission

... I filled up last night ... fuel guage showing just under a 1/4 tank left, and I put in $111.75 ... 93.19 litres @ $1.199/L ... for 788km. 11.8L/100km for suburban driving. Pretty happy with that.

I still don't trust the fuel guage ... the fuel light still hasn't come on. I keep running it down a bit further each time to try and judge how accurate the fuel guage is ... but 93L into a 95L tank with the guage at about 1/4 ??

    Kev..
