    Drive Line Vibrations 2" Lift

I was talking to a guy at a reputable 4WD shop about him installing a 2" lift for me( don't have the facilities to do it myself ) & he reckons that I'd get Drive Line vibrations:? ???

Has anyone heard of or experienced vibrations after a lift?

I won't be using him to do the install if I go ahead

    Thanks

Nope, 2" lift on my D2 a couple of months back and no vibration issues here.

As long as you're running the rubber rotoflex coupling in the rear tailshaft then you wont have any problems.

The rear tail shaft on the D2 has a rubber 3 bolt coupling at the diff, it's call a Rotoflex coupling, you can't miss it, only reason it would be changed is if you had a locker fitted.

Even if it was changed the difference is minimal.

Do the lift, you won't regret it.

Why would there be the possibility of a drive line vibration in a D2 with a 2" lift and a non-rotoflex coupling?

A bit of back ground on this query - I exchanged the tail shaft in my D2 TD5 for an earlier model universal only shaft so as not to have the issue a friend was having with his 2" lifted TDI flogging out the rotoflex coupling. I am getting a growly noise from under the car when I back off the power from any where over 110km/hr. I hadn't thought of this possibly being the issue.

PM me or you can call 0406-181-810 so I can query you a little further on this.

    Thanks
