    Leaky Airbags Need Replacing

    Hey everyone,

I have a slow leak on one of my airbags on the D2a and have been looking around at where is the best place at the best price to buy them from.

I decided to replace both at the same time and keep the old one that doesn't leak as a spare. I have looked on the US Rover Renovations website and right now they are quoating about $400 Australian for two, I believe that includes freight. Which is about $200 less then the Airbag Man in Queensland who in return is much cheaper then anyone else I've found so far.

Has anyone brought airbags from either of these mobs?

    cheers,
    Terry

Arnott Industries in Florida USA.Air Suspension Kits, Air Shocks, Suspension Parts, Struts - Arnott Industries
The dollar is up at the moment and you should land them at your door around $350 with liftime warranty.

Many here with the Arnott bags including myself. Im happy with them.

There was an Ebay ad for 2 new Airbags at $250 relisted this week also.

    Cheers

    Terry,

I've not heard of Rover Renovations, but price seems good. Arnotts may be a tad cheaper as mentioned.

Do you know who makes the Rover Renovations brand can you shed more light. I know Arnotts have their own factory.

Is always best to replace both at same time.

    Hi Terry,

I emailed Dennis from Rover Renovations a couple of weeks back as he quite often has some discounts that he posts on RangeRovers.net • Index page under the name of shupac.

He gave me 10% of the list price of Arnott GEN 3 bags and i organised slow but cheaper shipping for the four bags at $100 US.

Much cheaper than others and a nice fella to deal with. Check rangerovers.net and see if he has posted any deals or PM him and see what he says.

    Gentlemen,

thank you all very much for the info, I'm sure I'll now find some new replacements at the right price.

Not to sure I really need a set of airbags that provide a 5" rise just yet though Pedro...

    cheers,
    Terry

I understand that the mob in Valencia (just north of LA) don't recommend Arnott air bags 'because of their inferior quality'(??!!).
So, as mine are soon needing to be changed as well, has anyone got any from the UK? Are Britpart (Dunlop) at about 64pounds each just as good (plus freight)? Are all suspension air bags created equal? Now that the UKL is down and our $ is up time to lash out!!
    Cheers

The Arnott Gen 3 come with a lifetime warranty!
They look better quality than the Dunlop’s I had. No matter what you buy i think airbags are the type of thing that you should consider a consumable. I expect 5-10 years and i will need to revisit airbags.

    Hi
I just had some Dunlops shipped with a water pump and front ABS sensor
    Bags $233 pr.
    Sensor $69
    Water Pump $67
    Shipping for all $140

The bags look good quality although they are the push in airlines not the original screw in.
I had bought some others of Ebay that were also the push in type but had no brand on them, they didnt seem to be as heavy material as the ones I replaced and seemed to be about 15 mm shorter when I fitted them.
I now have fitted the dunlops and they are fine
I will keep one of the no name as a spare.(push in fitting)
The rest will go on Ebay as spares including the Arnott I removed as it is no use to me (has screw in fitting) and I am now limited to push in.
Hope this makes some sort of sense to be honest I am confusing myself.
Time for a beer I feel.
    Steve

Its a good job as well, quite a few people install NEW ones and they leak from day one!!!.........

Fitted the Dunlops to mine, been fine, although I do agree with the previous post and they should be treated as a "service" item, I will most likely change mine every 3 years
