    What needs to be done?

I'm after some info on what needs to be done to fit 255/85/16's on a D2 with SLS?

Just looking around at the moment but I want to do it right the first time.
    Any help is appreciated.

2" lift and the removal of the front bumper or a trim of it.

Then you remove the tyres on your rims and replace them with the 255/85/16s

I personally find its also a lot easier if you jack the car up and take the rims off of the hubs before you try to demount the rubber from the rim.

although Ive seen a few tyres taken off by simple deflating them and running till the rim cuts the bead existing carcass to peices, its a bit hard on the rims and the bodywork though.

    Haha thanks Baz.

I've got the ARB bar now so I might get away with it. I was just wondering if I needed to chop the guards or not?

    They are roughly 33x10x16

No 33s are all good for a D2, you will how ever loose some power and it throughs the low range gearing out a bit, you will be using 1st low a lot more, also taking off in 1st high with a load will require a few more revs and a bit of a clutch slip.

An auto will be OK though.

Thanks Baz. I think I have settled on 235/85/16's as I went out yesterday on the stock tyres and drove a lot of things I thought I wouldnt. I don't think I will need the extra height of the 33's. Plus I will be doing a lot of freeway k's so I dont want the gearing out to much.
