    Dash symbols

What does the symbol that is a picture of a 4x4 with one arrow pointing up and another arrow pointing down at the rear mean? Came on on my way to work and was beeping but the manual I have doesn't contain this particular symbol?

On that note, does anyone have or know where I can get a D2 handbook? The one I've been given with my car I think Is for the older models? Prefferably one that covers the ES model. Wreckers in Vic if anyone knows of any.

The RAVE CD (can buy on this site) will cover all D2 Models, it includes the workshop manual and the Owners Manual which is what you are after.

The warning light you describe (one arrow pointing down to another arrow pointing up) will stay on constantly if there is a problem with the Self Levelling Suspension. Often this is because the Duty Cycle has been exceeded (compressor ran for too long) and can often reset itself after the car is turned off.

I would be checking your compressor or height sensors.

The light Blknight refers to is for when you have operated the "Off-Road Mode" button on the dash and has only one arrow pointing up

Ok, I've taken it down to the car wash and given it the once over with the high pressure hose, under the guards and so on, light hasn't come back on since, only a three minute drive but either way, where exactly will I find the height sensors? I've been up to the Murray and was really dusty so I was hopeing it was just dust toying with the sensor. How much are the sensors to replace? And is it a job I can do myself?

The Height Sensor is the little arm and black block with a wire coming out seen just above the jack in the pic below.

Its job is to send a voltage signal to the SLABS ECU from which the SLS height is calculated.

Bloody brilliant! Thankyou, I've checked both and seem to be ok, I think one of the plugs may have been loose so here's hopeing that's all it was.
    Cheers again
