My understanding is that the TC light is on when the system is working but will stay on if there's a fault.
Referring to the thread" Disabling D2 traction control"
The light in my D2 comes on amber while driving offroad.
Ussually when a wheel looses traction and then the rattling is heard from the system pulsing.
Is this an indication that TC has just worked or as stated in the mentioned thread if light is on it's not working?

my understanding the rattle or shutter is the barakes go on and off as the traction control works of the brakes coming on and off.
when the car bracks traction the TC light will come on and that means the TC is working for it to work well you need to keep the revs up hope this helps
