I had a slow leak which I couldn't find. Eventually found it was the drain plug at bottom of radiator which is hidden by a shield plate (may not be using right words here). Seemed to only leak when really hot. New plug -> no problems. Also changed over to green coolant at the same time and have had no problems since.

I like the idea of the texta mark on the header tank. I shall do this next week after the coolant has been replaced and setteled.

Had another look around this morning, taking the plastic shrouds off and the engien cover as well.

No sign of coolant but some oily mess aroudn the fwd rocker cover

    thanks

    Hay All

I got the coolant changed out and a pressure test done, no leak found. I am happy with that.

havent got to do any longer trips yet.

later, when it looks liek teh coolant elvel has setteled I shall mark the header tank and monitor it from there.

    Thanks
    Hay Ewe

Yep, same thing happens on the Td5 (as per Dave - Blknight) and on a V8 that I know... although it probably is the heads on that... that and the little pipe that comes out of the bottom of the tank

Green? Hope it's OAT... I believe you can get green OAT coolant, but didn't think it was as common as the red/orange stuff? Might pay to check if you haven't already - just in case.
    Cheers
