    Changed the Fuel press Reg

    Gday All,
Had to change the Fuel Press Reg, so decided to clean the inlet manifold.
The job to change the Reg is easy with the inlet manifold out of the way, and the job to change the reg took 15mins, but removing the inlet manifold was a totally different job.
Need bloody small hands and alot of different length socket extensions, but by christ there was crud in the manifold.Got some proper BP degreaser we had on the boat and cleaned it like new, no drama's..But what a job to put it back on.
4.5 hrs all up, new fuel press Reg, cleaned inlet manifold, started up and drove exactly the same..so SWMBO wanted to know what I done all day.

Glad my lungs aren't full of that crud from the inlet manifold..so im sure the car will be alot happier for it..

    Merry Christmas to all
    Cheers Ean

I have a similar story, asked when was the last time I had cleaned my MAP sensor, I had to look up what it was. Fond it, removed it and YUCK. Cleaned it up thinking, " Well this should turn it into a Rocket.
Nope. Can't say it made any difference.
Mind you it only took about ten minutes.
Merry Christmas Ean. Have you thought about cleaning the inter-cooler.
    Cheers Peter.
