Found a perforation of the rubber gaiter on the front ACE actuator and have bought a new one.
I read the RAVE instruction for the removal of the front assembly and have a couple of questions.
- Must I have the special tool(LRT-60-009) to remove the actuator nut, or has someone found a way around this?
Not sure tbh never done it, but most of the time special tools are not needed and something can be substituted for them
- Is it necessary to do a system bleed using Testbook at completion? I don't happen to have one in the shed at the moment.
YES if you break into the system fluid lines -
How much fluid is lost when changing the ACE filter, and when disconnecting the actuator?
Not a lot when changing the filter www.discovery2.co.uk / ACE High pressure filter
Hmm, this may be a job for the local LR specialist.
Cheers,
biggin
