Probabily it is the drainig tube of A/C ??
got in my 2003 d2 td5 after all this rain up in qld lately and the roof lining right at the corner in front and above me was soaking - the only thing I can see is a small gap in the "gutter" and windscreen trim right at the top corner of windscreen (can only see this looking straight down into the gutter)
The only thing is there is an exact same little gap on the passenger side, but there was no water leaking there.
Was thinking of just sealing up this hole on the driver's side, but wondering if maybe it is supposed to be there for some reason and the leak is inside???
Any suggestions? - and is anything gunna rust in there???
(A few hours in the sun and when I came out from work the headlining was totally dry once more)
Probabily it is the drainig tube of A/C ??
naw, I don't think so - this is above my head in the top corner of the head lining on driver's side - don't think there would be a a/c drain there???
Yes, I would think that there is a chance of rust over a period of time if the moisture continues....the roof turret and doors are steel.
Certainly sounds like the guttering needs a good look at, also the windscreen seals.

A friend had something similar on his but it was passenger side..About 50-60mm in from the corner was a gap that seemed to be letting in the water.
He just filled it with silicoln and hasn't had any prob's since, dont know if it was the same on Drivers side...
Hope this helps,
Cheers Ean
Had similar a while back. Wacked some silicone into the top corners of the windscreen. Fixed.
had a similar problem, only when parked on a downhill slope, nose first. took ages to find out it was the rubber grommet at the back of the right hand factory roof bar that was leaking and the water was sitting on the fibreglass roof lining and trickling down the front corner when facing downhill. loosened off bolt and silicon in the hole and no more leaks.
It will be in the top corner of the windscreen where the steel folds together. it must of been a problem with 2003 Discos i have fixed heaps of them, silicone it up. use neutral cure
I've just bought a '99 Disco 2. When I washed it I found a similar problem with the roof lining getting wet in the front corners. The roof lining is coming out to be re-upholstered and the roof needs a coat of paint so I thought it would be wise to replace the windscreen and solve the leak at the same time.
Had the glass guys come out today to do the windscreen but they had to stop when they found this!
There was no sign of rust from the outside at all. The screen fitter seems to think that the paint on the sealing surface has been damaged when the previous screen was fitted and this has initiated the rust. Hopefully it won't take too long to fix (there goes another weekend) and I'm pleased it's been found now rather than after the roof has been repainted.
So to answer your question about rusting ... yes it might be rusting under there and you won't know until it's too late. If you have windscreen insurance, use it!
Good luck ...

wow - certainly some scary pics there - I will silicone up, but will get the screen out for a look under when I can - maybe a rust proof or something.
