    Intercoolers for a D2a

    Hi All,
Could the collective group supply a list of sellers that supply an intercooler for a 2004 D2a TD5.
I have a friend who is after one.
That way i can pass on the info as he has requested to do his own ringing around..nice of him

    Thanks.

Firstly mate.. Gday, been a while between drinks!

Is he chipped? Looking to tow? Looking for a straight replacement unit?

    G'day Mike,
Yes it has been a little too long between drinks.
We were in Adelaide & Robe for the last few weeks, would o been nice to catch up, but the family thing was sensational..just to see my 2 daughters & how they have grown..First day at school for Olivia today...tears..yes there was

Anyway, yes he tows a van & purchased the vehicle already chipped.
Wasnt sure if you were still doing them?
Cheers Mate, hope all is well with the family, say hi to Emma for Barb & Me.

The D2a has a better IC than the earlier models. With a mild chip he wont gain much if anything...

    Better upgrades for his use:

    - Upgrade Trans cooler to P38 version (otherwise it'll die earlier & removes those poor click fittings)
    - Upgrade exhaust....
    - Remove EGR

If he still insists on throwing the IC in...
    1) Sell the factory one on here - great upgrade for a D2 early
    2) http://www.aseturbo.com.au - He makes/made all of mine.

    Mike,

What's the difference between the P38 and D2a transmission cooler (other than the click fittings)?

    Cheers,

    Franz

Deeper and higher... Greater cooling capability...

And proper! Screw on hose fittings...

I have fitted a few ASE intercoolers thanks to Tombie2's advice, and very happy with their price and construction. Recently had a small price hike but that can't be avoided these days

    I thoroughly recommend them

So an undamaged used one at half price would be a good buy?
