    Square or Round ?

Right guys after months of deliberation I finally have an ARB on the way to me from the US (dont ask about cost , Im going to have to sell the wife!!!....bummer!! )

Anyway, when it comes, it just simply cannot be fitted without a decent set of spot lights, so which looks best, looking for opinions / reasons.

Obviously the square ones are more limited in choice, but theres a few I like, If Im honest Im heading towards a set of Round Light Force spots, any experience with those ?

    So Round or Square ?

I take it this is a different bar to what ARB sells in Australia then.

I prefer round spots, don't know why just do.

I think square like the IPF800's look best, but rounds are more effective.

I've got the Lightforce 170's - fit nicely in the bull bar, throw a good light - would recommend one spot and one spreader lens if you get them for general use.

I was thinking IPF 800, but then I saw some with IPF900s, and they look better. I have the same lights on my Defender and can't wait to get to put some on my Discovery. Where do you fit fog lights on the ARB bar?

Nope same bar, not available in the UK hence the "distant" shopping trip!!!...

I think I prefer round to........just seeing what ARB central thinks.....

I have IPF900's and Blitz 240's on the front of mine. Turning on the 900's gives a good light, but turning on the 240's after, you cant even see the 900's!!

Turn the 900's off first and there's very little difference.

Turn off the 240's first and the light drops considerably.

900's are fitted with the 130w globes they come with and the 240's with RooShooter globes.

Very big difference between the two. Round is technically better than square also for reflective purposes.

    Cheers

I would go round lights. I think they break up the squareness of the early D2 a bit. I have a set of 240 blitz lightforces on mine with the arb bar. They look the same as Redbacks. I will post up a pic this afternoon when I gethome.
