    Rev Range TD5

    Hi guys

    what does everyones TD5 rev to?
    is 3000rpm about right on the limiter?

    I think they will do 4000 rpm, if not more.

    So the limit @ 3000rpm could be indicating an issue elsewhere possibly...

    So your saying that it wont rev past an indicated 3k? Or power drops off after/at 3K? What does it idle at?
    Mine will rev past 3K but I don't ever feel the need to it as makes good power below this engine speed. Mine idles at 700rpm and runs a needle width below 2500K @ 100kph on standard size wheels. Hope this helps.

    mine does the same rev range but can be pushed to about 4k if pushing hard,

    Usual power band of unmodified 2.5l diesel is 2000 to 3000 rpm.
    My D2a with de-cat and Davis chip power band has increased from 2000 to 4000rpm.
    Consumption ranges from 9.5 to 10.5 l/100; up to max 14.3 l/100 towing a 2000Kg van, generally at speed limits.
