Is it losing coolant?
is it happening all the time? Hot/Cold?
Hey Guys, Noticed Black watery soot coming from the exhaust? I read somewhere this can happen due to humid conditions and its been pretty humid up here lately. Whats your thoughts? I use to have the old "waterfall" noise coming from the dash but bled the system and hasn't been back, just hope its nothing more serious.. ("02"V8).
Cheers Ted.

You are burning hydrocarbons. Part of what comes out of the exhaust is water. Wait until your exhaust is fully hot before looking for excess water.
Agreed...
And rev it out occasionally, make the pipes breathe and blow the moisture out...
You'll find too, that lots of short trips increases the liquid amount, whilst reducing the life of the exhaust...
Pays to give any vehicle used on continual short trips a nice long run regularly...
Thanks guys, yeah only happening when cold and not loseing coolant, just started happening but only had it for 6mths. The missus only drives it to the shops and back so I'll give it a good run soon. I did have a problem with it missing not long ago due to a faulty lead so that may of increased the soot..
Cheers Ted.
Does it smell like it's running rich? I had a similar issue with mine and it turned out to be an O2 sensor. Burning too much fuel.
Ditto that. I had exactly the same.
Still running a little rich now, and a nice black ring around the end of the pipe.
