    Nanaocom and Faulty injectors

    Gday All,

Will nanocom be able to find a faulty injector above idle..

Say I wanted to check the injectors at 2000rpm can I do it with nanocom?

Did a search but couldnt find this 1.

    Many thanks, Cheers Ean

You use the cylinder balance function.
There is also an injector test function.
Both are best used via Laptop.
Cylinder balance does vary, you are looking for a value that is way different than the others.

Hi I have a nanocom evolution, and you can look at cylinder imballance at all revs, If you have a missfire,I am presuming you have changed injector loom, and cleaned other plugs

Cylinder imbalance or roughness values can NOT be used for injector condition diagnosis when engine is running transiently (in practice all the time except when idling).

However if the TPS (throttle position sensor) could be messed with in such a way that a constant voltage (= throttle %) could be sent to the ECU, the ECU would maintain even engine running by continuously calculating and correcting for cylinder imbalances through injection timing micro adjustments.

Per LRs T4 handbook injector is "bad" if imbalance is over +20 or less than -20.
