Help - Nanocom Evo Mk2 Key Programming not working at all

I Purchased the new Nanocom 2 monthes ago.
First thing I tried is to program a new key in addition to the 2 working keys.
I tried to add the 6 digit of the new key in the unused slot and then made the sync for that slot.

It showed me "Key sync done successfully".
After that all the keys stopped responding and I had to disarm the alarm with the EKA code.

I did the the key programing according to the instructions in Nanocom Support.

I sent a mail to Ronnie in Nanocom support he told me to wait for the new frimware which should solve the problem.

A few days ago I updated my machine with the new frimware 1.02.
It still doesn't work I try to program each key seperately and none of them works in any of the 4 slots.

I am already 2 monthes with the key fobs not working.

    Has anyone had this problem?
My car is with the 433mhz reciver.

I would appreciate any help and advices which can solve the problem I checked the settings of the Valeo BCU and all seems ok.

    Thanks in advance

Try here, here and here for some more assistance. I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment but I'll post again tonight or tomorrow with anything I remember that worked for me when I did mine.

    Hi

Thank you very much for your reply.

I read the 3 posts you linked to, but the instructions in all the posts relates to the Nanocom One and not to the Nanocom Evo Mk2 that I have.

From what I saw and read the key programming module in the Nanocom Evo has different menu and options compared to the Nanocom one.

Although, I have already tried to do it according to the same steps written in the posts and none of my 3 keys works.

There are a few strange issues in the key programming in the Nanocom Evo:
    • The RF Test shows "successful test" for all the keys not matter if they are programmed in the slots or not.
    • The sync fuction for each slot shows "Sync Successfully done" even if you don't transmit any key signal during the Sync procedure.
    • The sync fuction also shows "Sync Successfully done" even if I try to sync wrong key into a slot(I tried to sync a key with different code than the code that was set in a slot and it although tells you "Sync Successfully done" for that slot).
Before I tried the key programming two monthes ago I had 2 working keys and since then all the keys stopped working.

I am pretty sure this is a result of bugs that are still existed in this module and corrupted the alarm system in my car.

Is there any setting that may randomaly changed and I need to reconfigure? My car has the 433mhz reciever and the country in the BCU is set to UK.

    I would appreciate any advices!

    Hi again,

I would also appreciate if you can post as well a list with all the correct BCU Alarm settings for a 433Mhz car, so that I can go over them and see that they are correctly configured in my car.

    Thanks in advance.

All the Nanocom models have the same core functionality. You might need to look for different naming of menu items, but if you follow the steps you have all the information to reprogram the keys.

I had a problem with encoding keys to Disco 2 - with Nanocom Evo MK1 and the same with Nanocom One. I was only able to encode fist two keys. Working with key position 3 of 4 was not possible. I have used the code from inside of the key.
The newest firmware for Nanocom Evo should work with all 4 key positions. But I have not enough free time to test it. I have one spare key I would like to encode to our Disco 2.

I tried to program my 3 keys with the new frimware 1.02 in all the slots and none of them works in any slot. I would appreciate if someone with 433mhz reciever can get into the BCU alarm setting and write me all the settings regarding the alarm system.
I read that the previous frimware had some problem with BCU settings randomaly changing so maybe I have wrong setting and this is the reason none of the keys works.

I have had the same problem, I can program the first 2 slots, but if I try to program any key into slot 3 or 4 they do not work, and the first 2 loses sync.
Apparently there is a fix due in the next update, will have to wait on that one.
Have you tried resyncing the keys in slots 1 and 2, that is what I have to do every time I try to program a new key, not sure why?
