EVO newbie questions
Hi, had my Nanocom EVO for a few weeks now and had a bit of a play.
Great tool !
Cleared some ABS faults that I didnt know were there
but I keep getting some silly faults that wont clear like
Fuel Pump overheat. A/C clutch overheat, Glowplug overheat , and a few more that sound just as silly. When I clear the faults they are still there , I doubt these things are overheating - its even when the car is cold.
Any ideas ??
Also going thru the menus in the WABCO ABS , there seems to be a facility to bleed the brakes - is this for real , Can I just crack the bleed nipple & use the Nanocom to bleed that line via the ABS pump ?? That would be too cool !!

You will find that there are a few weird faults that are thrown up on occasion. I have experienced similar to you, and things that are not monitored, such as the a/c clutch temp, seem to have constant "faults".
I don't think there has ever been a definitive answer as to why these faults show, but the list of options ( guesses?
) is long. Oil in the harness, faulty earths, bad ecu connections etc...
My theory is, if it isnt causing any problems, then just ignore it. The "faults" were there before you had the Evo & knew about them, and they weren't causing any hassles then....
And, yes. From what I understand, you can use the Evo to powerbleed the brakes. I haven't ever done it, but from what I have read on here, it is possible.
