The TD5 has a fuel temperature sensor, but not a fuel pressure sensor.

and the diagram of the pressure regulator on page 19-1-6 of RAVE.
Is it possible to see the fuel pressure on a D2 Td5 with nanocom evolution?
I can find fuel temp but not fuel pressure.
What am I missing?
cheers

The Td5 engine is NOT a common rail engine (high pressure is not generated by an external pump and monitored by the ECU through a fuel pressure sensor located in the fuel rail).
In the Td5 it is within the EUI's or unit injectors (dual pump + injector) that fuel pressure is generated.
The fuel pump provides volume and through a fuel pressure regulator that essentially chokes the return line, diesel pressure within the supply rail inside the head is kept at a minimum of 4 bar so that injector fill is efficient within the short time frame.
Fuel temperature is monitored so that fuel density is known (diesel expands with heat and becomes 'lighter' i.e. less mass per volume). Simply put, by monitoring the stroke and controlling timing on the 'spill' valve within the injector the ECU governs the mass of fuel to be injected. Fuel is then compressed on the down stroke until it overcomes needle valve set pressure (= injection pressure) than atomised through the injector nozzle ports.
