    Gap diagnostic IID tool.

Has anybody bought one of these - any good ???
I've tried to get one from Britparts but had no response as to a "local" dealer ... their web site seems to be run by morse code - must be a good business if they can just ignore people wanting to spend money with them
Any ideas ??? all help greatly appreciated.

    cheers

Go to UK site, they are a sponsor. DISCO3.CO.UK - Index
Buy it direct from UK it will also be cheaper.

    Thanks CaverD3,
I've been to the Gap site via Disco3UK and they direct me to their worldwide distributor- "Britparts" but it's been four days so far just waiting for a reply as to the Australian distributor - not good enough....
Even if I want to buy direct from Britparts in the U.K. they want an e-mail inquiry for the price of the item - seems a very slow way of doing business ... maybe they have a work experience apprentice whos job it is to check the e-mails once a week - sure seems like this from my end !!!!!
I regularly shop online for all sorts of stuff and it's just a few clicks of the mouse and hey presto its done - but not with Britparts.... they are soooo slow.
I'll persevere for a few more days but if Gap want to sell their product they had better get a "modern" distributor - seems an odd business that has people banging on their "front door" with a fist full of cash and they ignore it

    cheers

I have one of the beta ones for the D4, which came direct from GAP Canada.
As a beta release the functionality is fairly basic to fault codes reading and resetting, plus suspension calibration. The device itself seems to work fine, my car may have an issue with the OBDII connector which I'll have to look at some time.

    Hi steve,
why don't you do us all a favour and find out IF Britpart has an Australian distributor and IF they do you can tell us who it is and how much they charge ... maybe they'll actually answer your e-mails ... and then you may get some sales from our neck of the woods.
I look forward to being able to buy your product.

    cheers

Yep thanks CaverD3 - I know how their site works - I just don't understand why you have to go through all the bull**** of the "price inquiry" - are the price of Landrover parts some sort of state secret - why does it take days waiting for a "price inquiry" e-mail to get back to you ???
I'm glad you have had a good experience with them BUT it hasn't been the case for me I'm afraid
This morning I bought a new pair of hiking boots from New York and a couple of books from the U.K. - took about 30 seconds for each transaction... and they'll be delivered to my door in a few days time.....
I just wish "Britparts" would drag themselves into the 21st century ....

    cheers
