You'll get a lot more out of the Evo if you make the effort to at least read the user guide and familiarise yourself with the operation of the unit. You should also have a read through the pdfs for each module. They have a reasonable description of what each module does. If you want more detail fire up the workshop manual and read the description and operation section corresponding to the module. There is extensive material on the V8 electronics in the manual and in the EOBD Workbook pdf which can be found on the Rave CD.
