Well, it looks like I can power it using the OBD2 port to do the update. It sure is slow progress though. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Completed. I'm now running version 6. I'm not sure what functionality was added to D3, if any. I don't see anything jumping out at me as being different. I no longer have a D2, so I cannot test that out.
