I sent mine back to the retailer I bought it from and they updated it for free. I didn't know there was an option to update it yourself. Is the update cable USB or something else like RS232?

It's a USB and a plug in to the unit. Emailed bearmark and v6 may be out in 2 weeks or so

That's good news. They seem to be good about adding extra features with each version. I hope D2 still has enough demand to get some.

The "2 weeks or so" has come and gone - any news on v6?

Also, about 18 months ago they promised to release a programming version for all vehicles - has that ever happened to that? My contact at the manufacturers of HawkEye retired about then and it appears that very little development - progress has happened since. Bearmach are only the visible retail face of HawkEye and are often unaware of up to date matters.

I have just purchased a non goer Defender td5 with 10AS Alarm.
I can access the td5 EMS through the D2 td5 EMS function on my HawkEye.
Does anyone know how to set up the Defender td5 EMS so that the factory immobiliser is rendered non functional?
Currently the engine crank (start) permission is not being delivered from the EMS to the crank relay (orange/black relay earth).

I spoke to Bearmach last night - they now expect v6 to be released by the end of July 2013 and the programming functions that were foreshadowed have been incorporated into all of the std modules for no charge.

What programming features have been foreshadowed? I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade mine for D3/LR3 support.

So I've seen some posts where bearmach is sending people the V6 update that isn't officially release yet, for people that request it.

Does anyone have a copy they could upload for me?

I tried requesting from bearmach via an e-mail message, and I don't know if it's on the way or not, but I don't want to nag the guy too much in case it's already on the way.... I mean it is FREE after all. ;-)
