    Downloading V8 map with nanocom

Does anyone know if you can download and upload a V8 map using the evo?

This way you could download the map as a file, have it remapped and then upload the new map.

It does not appear to be possible with the nanocom.

I was afraid of that. It seems you can do it with the td5 but I could see a way to do it with the V8.

The security on the Bosch Motronic ECU is very very over the top.

Only one person has been able to do both ignition and fuel, there's a couple of "plug in" upgrades but they deal with ignition only and don't allow for any capacity changes.

People like Bruce Davis and Mark Adams offer remapping so do they do something different?

I was going to get Les Richmond to remap the ECU for a 4.6 today but he was unable to download the map file. Not sure what program he uses but is going to look into it.
