There is a cruise control adjustment that you can check. Details in RAVE.
In my recently purchased d2 td5 I have noticed that the cruise control is very vague in initially picking up the speed I have set it at, it's completely different to my friends d2a which is always spot on,it is somewhat frustrating sometimes dropping 10-15 kmh before it starts picking up the speed, and then going too fast until it finds its way.I have this fault logged in the auto:
code p1884
CAN MESSAGE MD_IND INVALID
(FLAG F_TL_MES)
I have cleared it but it always returns, any ideas?
cheers james
also have tried to watch the auto screen in the nanocom while driving but after several seconds it loses communication with the car, never does this when connected to the engine outputs screen though.

Thanks biggin, will check into that,
just went for a quick spin and recorded auto inputs if anyone is interested, just noticed the engine temp displayed here is nowhere near what the reading is from instruments screen,
is this reading important for correct auto operation?
Also the only way I was able to do this was by cleaning the red plug on the ecu, seemed to stop the nanocom from losing the connection,
it already has a new injector loom so hopefully the oil in the harness reduces, will this plug being oily affect the auto ecu?
cheers james
Biggin,
I can only find an adjustment for the v8 not the td5, is that the one you were thinking of?
Yeh, sorry James. Must read the threads more carefully.

Has anyone here checked a nanocom on an autobox to see what comes up on the pressures screen?
mine says 0 on most if not all upshift and speed range readings,
according too the manual these are adaptive pressures the ecu has learnt, i'm guessing that mine should be reading something from the ecu on this, if not maybe I have something electrically wrong somewhere. Any info would be appreciated.
cheers james
Bit of an update for any with the same problem:
Sent an email to bbs about the connection problems with the nanocom and autobox,
they said it is pretty much always a problem with the power or earthing on the car, suggested that I power externally, which I did with a usb power supply into the port on the nanocom and it seems too be working fine now and giving readings on the pressures screen ok.
cheers james
Thanks for that Paul,
I found the red plug on the ecu was oily, I cleaned it several times with contact cleaner a week ago and the fault hasnt returned after about 1000km, so hopefully it has fixed it.
Where are you finding the information on fault codes? I checked rave but it was not particularly helpful on this issue.
cheers james
It's been posted before, but I've removed the P38a fluff that was attached to the start.
I think this is originally a LR North America Doc but is still applicable to the Td5.
The LR Topix site also has diagnostic flows for all the P codes although most are obviously V8 specific.
cheers
Paul
