    Nanocom Evo or Original?

    Hi folks,
I see that I can buy a Nanocom Evo brand new from Black Box for just over $400 delivered, which seems like value and I'm seriously looking into it.
But I just saw a 2nd hand original Nanocom with 6 licences go on eBay for over $700! Am I missing something here? Is it just the fact that it had the extra licences ($400+ worth) or do people prefer the original? Seems like you could still buy the new one with the licences and pay about the same. Huh?

    Get the new one.
My original was no where near $700,nor is it as good as the new ones.

710 bucks!!! What a joke, does the buyer realise they just paid a mint? WOW. Wish I had a few old Nanocom's laying about!

    Nanocom Evo or Original?

Nanocom's hold their value pretty well. I sold a One for about $300 a couple of years ago - at the time it was only about $140 less than the cost of a new BBS Evo 2.

Even a first Gen Evo is likely to fetch close to new prices on eBay - it seems like people are happier buying locally used than working out how to buy new from BBS.

When you tally it up a new Evo with 6 licenses would easily run you to $850-$900, so $700 isn't a bad price when you consider the original Evo is functionally the same as the current version.

I wouldn't complain - it makes them a pretty good investment.

    Cheers

Having looked at the completed listing I see it's a One. As far as I know these only support the Defender and Disco so I think six licenses is stretching the truth. Or perhaps not - the D2 td5 uses three

There is a school of thought that the Ones are more reliable for map uploads. The PC interface is also pretty nice as you can see all settings in the BCU on one screen. The other nice thing is the internal flash memory which is far less hassle than the sdcard support.

TBH I still have moments of regret that I sold mine.

    Cheers
