    Hi Peter

Which cable did you buy (right angle? ribbon cable? other?)?
    How did you find it?

Any issues with quality, fitting, use?

    Thanks

Bought right angle standard cable 6oomm long.

I leave ithe right angle permanently connected to the OB11 port and the other end i have fixed with double sideded 3M Dual Lock tape to just below the light switch but on the large removal cover panel.

Gap Diagonostic 11DTool BT is fixed beside the key also with 3M Dual Lock.

I can plug it in to the 11DTool on the fly if necessary.

Have had no issues with quality, all works as required.

    Cheers

    Thanks very much Peter

If you get a chance, it'd be great if you could post a pic or two!

Sounds like a much better option that ~$70 for UK/local purchase.

Update. New cable works fine so far. Recommended.

Question. Is it dangerous, damaging or not recommended for some reason to have the iidtool connected permanently? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Guys

Leaving the tool connected permanently can, under the right circumstances, lead to a battery drain. We have implemented a sleep algorithm which reduces the current drawn to a minimum in sleep mode. This algorithm, however, is not completely validated which is why we recommend disconnecting the tool after usage. We know that if the tool is not disconnected from the App properly, it will not go to sleep.

The tool can of course be left connected when driving the vehicle.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    I bought one of these

    AU$5.96 delivered in 2 weeks.

Works fine with IID Tool BT and an ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter.
