I recently picked up a T4 Mobile+ the DTC4021B version, works fine and i've got it set up with the Land Rover RDS 7.0 and MG Rover RDS 5.06 on a dual-boot system. Have tested it on a mates TD5 D2, all seems fine.

But now i'm wondering what other capabilities this interface has. I see some hints that it could do a lot more, but since these things are quite hard to come by, nobody seems to play with them all that much.

For example, it cannot function as a J2534 pass-through device? But I see mentions of J2534 in the various files that are installed with RDS...

It uses the FTDI D2XX drivers, like some other diagnostic equipment i've seen (some BMW stuff actually) so could it be used with other diagnostic softwares?

What about other diagnostic programs for British vehicles that originated from Omitec? Like for older Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lotus, etc... ?

Anyone got any ideas about this?
