    You'd want to elliminate a short to ground in the harness or oil in the ecu connector as causes before doing much else.

    My best guess on the multiplex input fault would be the Fuel and Engine Coolant temp sensors. These two sensors are multiplexed into a single analog to digital converter input on the CPU. Basically the ecu reads fuel temp then switches to coolant sensor reads the temperature then switches to fuel temp and repeats the process.

    As most of the faults relate to components on the ecu side of the engine bay I'd start by checking the harness from the point it splits off the FT sensor wiring a physically inspecting back to the ECU.
