used mine in "instrument" mode on my recent trip to the VIC 4WD show - bloody great piece of kit.

BTW - max boost was 1.1 KPa, coolant temp topped out at 101c - was on a big long hill in 5th gear!!!

at 100kmph my motor runs almost dead on 2500rpm

I've noticed that the ambient air temperature sensor value is not shown in the user manual nor displayed by the PC program. As the LR WSM states that if this sensor fails, the ecu will not allow overboost, I've sent Nanocom an email asking why they don't show its value. I'll pass-on any response I get.

    Hi Greame.
Im thinking that its easy to check if the ambient temp sensor is working, just press the outside temp on the climate control and see if the "player comfort level" agrees
Good point, looking forward to hearing Nanocoms response.
    Thanks

Yeah, I can tell if that sensor is working, but its the one combined with the AAP sensor sitting near the top of the airbox that the engine ecu uses. But you knew that anyway.
Funny thing is, the ecu connector pin descriptions in the WSM don't have a description against the AAT sensor input wire but the circuit diagram shows the wire and it exists at my ecu. Just another little hiccup in the WSM.

Nanocom have responded. They are under the impression that the AIT sensor is the only temperature sensor on the engine. I have advised them otherwise and referred them to the LR WSM. Hopefully they can and are prepared to extract the AAT sensor value.

Edit 27/2/08: Nanocom note that neither Autologic nor Rovacom report this sensor and has requested a copy of the LR WSM page. Also, I erroneously called it the AAT sensor but LR document it as the Ambient Air Temperature and Pressure sensor, abbreviated to AAP.

    Transfering Injector codes

The Nanocom I ordered has not arrived yet so I cant fiddle around and try it but would it have the ability via a laptop to transfer the injector codes to another chipped ECU I am about to install.
I was advised that I would need to take it to someone with Rover Test Book.
    Thanks

Yes, Nanocom does this, and you don't have to use a PC althought it makes for easier use.
You can download and install the software and manuals, and you can explore the PC pgm by plugging a dummy device into the com port. I'm ready with a USB-to-serial cable and can go into all the PC menus.

    Nanocom

Hi all, It's Iain from Rovacraft, I have taken over the order of the Nanocoms from Stuart.
Unfortunately we have been advised that the units are due to arrive to us at the end of April. I apologise for any inconvenience. The order is still in the process so all of you that have placed orders will still receive them (just a little later than expected) If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me on either (08)9377 0080 or im@rovacraft.com.au

    Thank you
