Logged and cleared ABS fault codes after machined discs and new brake pads, checked the engine for any dramas (none!) and voila!

Handbrake gets her car back after about three hours work and play.

I'd recommend the system based on the saving so far, especially if you do things like us and travel to remote bits of Oz where LR has no support.

We've only explored the engine and ABS elements so far.

Cost delivered to us A$526 to the door ex UK. Time taken 7 days.

Saving so far - 1 code read and clear. ($60?)

    Cheers to all,

    Pete

OK so in laymans terms does tyhis system negate the need to go and get an incredibly expensive diagnostics test at a mechanic? deos it essential service the car and tell you the problems??

im sure it does the job but as said before... those type are readers... the nanocom is a reader and writer and interfaces with all the computers too..

DZ mine seems to be running like a pile of also at the moment.. it sounds like someone chucked some rocks in the cylinders too...

need to get it checked out so am waiting and ready to use the unit when it arrives!

    Thanks

    Steve

For Jim. Early indications are that some functions (3 amigos, SLS probs, many engine probs) are sortable with Nanocom. I'm certain that there will be areas not YET accessible with the machine, but I stand to be corrected.

Jim, drop Nanocom a line and chat to the tech support people. They may give a more formal and non-Luddite view.

Just thought I would give a quick update on my Nanocom, which I got about an hour ago.

Without reading the manual at all... I now have 4 ecu's all running my td5 90! within an hour!

    Pretty happy! Very impressed!

I could be interested however i was thinking of upgrading to a 2007 fender. Will they adapt to the new model?

Starting to get a bit tedious. End of first week in May and still have not heard any updates from Rovercraft.
May not be their fault but a group email to people waiting would not go astray.
