    Thanks to Jmkoffice!

Most important is to get the right freq key for your vehicle.

YOU DO NOT NEED THE BAR CODE WHEN USING NANOCOM!

    Cheers all,

G'day davros, I am a first time user of this site & I come bearing problems!! My troubles relate to the need to aquire a new remote key for a disco 2 that have recentl purchased. It seems that you may have answers elating to this predicament & I'm hoping that you may beable to shed some light. (I'm not that well versed in finding my way around sites such as this, so I hpe that this is an acceptable approach/request). thanks

    Key Fobs for Disco 2

    Hi Shiba

I have not posted before but have been looking and learning since I aquired my Disco 2. I have just purchased a new key fob as I only had one key and it started falling apart. It seems that the key fob varies as to the age of the car, mine is a 99 model and is 315 MHz later in 2000 they changed to something like 423 MHz as the transmitting frequency. If you call Karcraft in Sydney they can tell you all about it. They will need the Vin Number and then they can sort it out. You then need a Nanocom Diagnostic interface or access to one to be able to program the new key numbers into the body control unit. There are quite a few members that have them and are willing to help you just need to find one in your neighbourhood. I have one but am in Carlingford in Sydney and are still learning about all the good things that the Nanocom can do. Oh by the way Karcraft's number is (02) 9737 0044.

    Regards Ian
