Features of new Nanocom & will it support D3

    Hi Nanocom users,
I see in posts that there is a new Nanocom due for release in Mar 2010.
Does anyone know what new features it will have & will it work on D3 TDV6?
I currently have 2000 disco TD5 but hoping to upgrade to D3 TDV6 as soon as I find suitable vehicle (& before Disco TD5 reaches it's 10th birthday & becomes virtually worthless as tradein!).
    Cheers..B

They have allegedly been working on one for Puma Defender since last year, don't know about the D3 though. I guess its a wait and see until March. Be good if they did have one.

you may be better off looking at this, price seems good but you are limited to the vehicle it's licenced to.

Just had an email from them. The new one will cost about 25 euro's more have a plastic body and look more proffessional (thier words not mine). The current one does look like someones science project but that doesn't detract from its cababilities. It'll cover the auto box (apparently the current version doesn't)

    It'll have a 3.5" touch screen and no external buttons. L122mm x H34mm x W95. Release date is mid March 10.

I'm looking at that or the Faultmate MSV-2.

Sounds like some big improvements. The larger touchscreen should make unit more useful in standalone mode. According to Mattia from Nanocom, this new model will support D3 soon after release.

Yep me too. It would have been the MSV-2 as the old Nanocom doesn't cover the autobox (don't ask, impulse buy, manual next time). I'm thinking of picking up a Defender as well at some stage. This makes the MSV-2 expensive with the multi vehicle licences. Had the MSV-2 not had the restrictive licence thing going on I would have gone for one (I used to be indecisive, but I'm not sure now). I hope it comes soon. I've got more lights on than Blackpool Tower.
