Regardless of any of the other happenings.
How the hell can a replacement engine be 65k?
How can there only be one spare engine in the world?
How can a brand import and sell a car in Australia and not have a spare engine in the country?

I was lucky enough to watch it. And people bag out Land Rover… Wowzers.
I have been watching the Grenadier with interest as I seriously thought about buying one…
So Ineos can say "sorry that is not under warranty " and not give a reason? Crap!
And why would you buy a quartermaster with the Ford Ranger Super duty out now? No need for the standard grenadier GVM upgrade. The only way you'd consider it would be at the special price of 99 drive away with a tray. At that price at least it's got a fighting chance. At the normal price of 135k not a snowballs.
Perhaps the whole role of the Grenadier is to sit out there and sell a handful and make everything else look cheap?
It's not working. Seen prices on Land Cruiser and Patrol recently? Or Defenders, for that matter? Gren is pretty well equipped for its, to me unaffordable, price. But to me they are all ridiculous. I look at the SH market more, and I see very basic LC 7* series with more ks priced almost the same. But, they ARE very basic. Sure, there's the Toyota tax, but..
Not really the sane market, imo. SuperDuty, at least on launch, seems aimed more at the 79 series than anything else. Ford will no doubt up the ante if it's a success though. I can foresee WildTrak or Raptor versions in my crystal ball. Then, all bets are off.
But I agree. SuperDuty? Cat, meet pigeons.
