Yeah but on working ones, eh ?!

I wonder if he's ever worked on a Vampire or a Sabre ?

Even better - he can fix some of the QAM's planes for us.

    AAAA?

Is that Spectacular at Caboolture in May the AAAA flyin weekend? I know there is a AAAA flyin there some time this year, might be a good weekend to fly up and stay at Caloundra.

Usually do the coastal trip out around the islands at 500' all the way, a bit lower to land on the beach on Moreton or Strady if the tides right and there aren't too many Landrovers on the beach. In the summer you wouldn't believe the amount of wildlife in the water, probley a couple of hundred Manter's ranging in size from a metre to 5 or 6 metres across, and maybe half a dozen Bronze whalers and hundred or so Dolphin all this between Byron and the tip of Moreton.

Looking out the window of a 46 year old aircraft is only slightly better than looking out the window of a 47 year old Landrover but slightly quicker.

Yes Fourgearsticks I think it is a joint thingy between the Antique Aircraft Assn and Caboolture Aero Club with support from Caboolture Shire Council it is held every 2 years usualy in Aug-Sept but is in May this Year it usualy has a big Warbird attendance with machines coming from most of the eastern states they can get in up to Goonies and Hercs, Caboolture Warbirds Museum is home to 2 Wirraways, P51d 20-110 a Ginwheel -er Winjeel and several Moths and Austers last Airshow had an attendence of over 80,000 and some very good Aerobatics, particularly from the Zucolli Stable well worth attending 8)

    better ?

me thinks the several hundred feet difference between the bottom of the windows to the black hard stuff on the landrover would be a reasonable price to pay for a little lack of speed !
