I reckon at a push there would be a few places, on the highway, between Roebuck and Sandfire that could accommodate a 777 in the hands of a good pilot, but I doubt it would get in undetected. I know of no other sealed roads in the area that would be wide enough and doubt that any airstrips up there would be long enough or able to cope with the weight.

Problem is someone says "look, there's something in the ocean at these coordinates", but the ocean isn't standing still. By the time you go have a look at it, it could be who knows how far it's moved?

Today I was talking with a commercial pilot and he told me one of the possibilities can be that the pilots or airport crew forgot to check the oxygen supply valve to the pilots cabin which it is separated to the rest of the plane.
If that was the problem once that the oxigen between the shut valve and the cabin is gone at the altitude that the plane was the cabin crew will died within 50 seconds.
If the plane was in autopilot then not one will realize it.
Also related to the oxygen problem can be disorientation by the pilots and doing things that are not logic.

The other possibility is that we have not been told the truth which can be the most probable.

Was reading a very interest article yesterday which said the same sort of thing
Basing this on the fact that They are one of the most curupt counties on the planet and also one of the most private. And although they make out the are a modern country are in fact very based on communist. They were saying that they don't like the media attentions and don't like the rest of the world know what they are doing.

The article said that there could already be ransom talk already go on and we would not know as that is their way of doing things. Which would not surprise a lot by the way they have told us info a lot later than they know it , hence why Vietnam pulled out of the search for a bit

Just like 9/11.....although they did make a couple of mistakes..

I recon the pilot had a Garmin, not a Navman,so he is all OK.
