Same with Elon. He's due some here. NASA wouldn't be doing this now without him. Trump sure as hell doesn't have the time. I'll assess Musk's motives when the dust settles. I don't trust him for a microsecond, but he didn't become a billionaire by being a dill. Use PayPal, do you??
Cadogen is a loud mouth yes, but he does know more that the average Joe - he just puts people off side by how he goes about presenting this info.

Based on your premise that you can’t be a dill and rich - Trump? A lot of other murican Millionaires aren’t too bright either...

I like Cadogan, he just comes across as having been shackled by his previous role as a motoring journo and now he can say what we all think without holding back.
Just watched his rant on GM v Holden which was quite funny.

Cardigan says things for people who cannot think.
He’s more corrupt than the others mentioned in this thread and yet people can’t seem to see it.
And often his facts are questionable opinion at best.

Many who have met him (including me) wouldn’t give him the time day again.

Crassness masking personal insecurity - as a journo he was constrained, and now he’s just a foul mouth who still is constrained - look at the only brands he recommends.

Claims to know all things of all cars or all makes and to be independent of any.

    Except he’s not!

Only have to look back through all his recommendations.
Same way you form knowledge of any media outlet. Look for the bias.

    Hardly proof.

I don’t see bias, I see a lot of thinned skinned car owners who’s marques he bags out. Even though he he talks up Kia, Hyundai, Mazda and Toyota he does also bad them out from time to time too if he sees an opportunity.

It could just be that those vehicles and after sales service are actually better? 😉

His business makes money quite simply by “spotters fees” (simplified) for finding people deals on vehicles.
His primary recommendations are almost always Kia and Hyundai with a bit of the other 2 for good measure.

Regardless - he’s a crass, blowhard with a derogatory attitude to the public, where they live etc and only self promoting.

And as I mentioned of all those I know who have met him, very few want to spend any more time with the man.

Still not even close to proof of being of corrupt. He’s still happy to buy a Land Rover or VW for people if they want one, he gets his money - probably more for higher end stuff - no matter what he sells to people. If he only wanted to push the top selling vehicles, he’d push Toyota’s and Mitsubishi’s more. People actually want Kias and Hyundai’s and from the ones I’ve driven and the family owns, there’s a good reason for that.
