    Freebie warning lights....

Okay,so I got my HG done, my Thermostat done, my water pump and reservoir done. Runs like a dream (drives like a boat) but now I'm getting the TC and DHD and sometimes the SRS warning lights coming on and off intermittently - I've heard the Freebie has a reputation for electrical foibles - any views, is it likely to be serious?

These are called the three amigos - relatively common on the FL1 and D2. Do a search on the three amigos and plenty of information will come up.

    Easiest to hardest (read expensive)

    1. Turn ignition off and then back on - will often clear the fault lights (does on my FL1)
    2. Dirt in the air cap between an ABS sensor and the rotor - blast with a bit of compressed air or even water.
    3. Cable from an ABS sensor dislodged - reconnect.
    4. ABS sensor failure or ABS cable damaged - replace sensor
    5. Brake fluid dirty and has caused an issue with the shuttle block in the ABS modulator - the shuttle block can be replaced but most repairers will say it cannot and the ABS modulator needs replacement (some big $$$ here)

I had No2 when I had my V6, after a few sessions playing in the dirty stuff.
Was easy enough to sort out, I removed the front sensors for a decent clean and had no further trouble. Took about 30minutes all up including removing both front wheels.

Thanks, I'll roll up my sleeves.... although do 1-5 hold if the ABS light hasn't come on? It staying decidedly off for the moment, although the dealer might have just removed the bulb I suppose.....

It should display when you first turn on the ignition as a test.
