freelander loses power
Hi guys.sadly my 2001 freelander v6 has been playing up lately. Whilst driving the battery, engine and some other lights come on and the car loses power to the engine. Whilst this happens the stereo and other electronics are still working just the engine dies. Restarting the car is no problem though as usually it starts up straight away.
Anyone have any idea what the problem is. I was thinking if maybe a faulty alternator or fuel.pump.

If you have to much weight on the key ring it can cause stalling issues. Also the switch on the back of the ignition barrel, if its loose it can be the problem, The switch could also be faulty

Agree it is probably the switch on the back of the ignition barrel.
Mine did this for a while before the switch suddenly died to the point of needing the tilt tray.
