It's up to you depending on where you want to take it.
Being a Freelander, I would say an AT would take you most places your car can get to.
Hi im new here just need some advise, should i put MT or AT on my freelander?
i have 15" wheels.

thanks for the quick reply, i will be driving mostly in mud and dirt
Anyone else that could help me decide? also will 235/75/15 fit without trouble?
You don't need to go wide... Just air down if you need the floatation.
Stick to 215.

In All Terrains 215 to 235 results in an extra 5.3kgs (roughly) of tyres being turned and an extra inch of diameter making your gearing taller. On the plus side, you gain roughly half an inch in clearance. As long as its going to clear the guards, i'd go for the 235
If you're after muddies in 235, there are some good options
- BFG Mud Terrain KM2
- Maxxix Bighorn
- Kuhmo KL71
As far as ATs go, I keep going back to the BFGs. On the other end of the spectrum, check out the Simex Centipede 29" (Bias Ply)
Be realistic with your vehicle usage. Re-think buying muddies if you only hit the wet stuff once a year. They are loud, slipperier on wet bitumen and wear quicker. Having said that, they make a HUGE difference over most ATs when you are using them for their intended purpose. IMHO
Thanks guys for the advice
Also remember the 15" rims are only 5.5" wide so you cannot go too large. I have 16" wheels on mine and run 225/70 16" BFG ATs and I really would not go any larger - the car pulls OK, have extra ground clearance and nothing rubs. Good ATs would be the go.
