Thread: Custom made roofrack

After searching for months for a proper roofrack for my Freelander, I decided to go with a custom made solution. As I don't think I'll need a full roofrack, we went the easy way and manufactured one only for the back of the car. You can see in the pictures what came out.

Few comments:
- overall, it is very solid and very good quality
- the wind deflector details are not as good as they should be, so this will probably be replaced. Now it's made from plastic, it will be made from fiber glass most likely.
- it weights about 20kg but it will support over 100 with no problem.
- in case a full version is needed, it is not complicated to extend it.
- no wind noise at all. At 130km/h, with music turned off, I couldn't hear it!
- the price was very decent, about 200 EUR.

P.S. Pictures don't serve it well, they were made with my phone camera....
