Looking for some 17 inch rims

    Hi all,
I have been looking around for some 17 inch rims for my 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 for some time now and I am having a tough time. I currently have 19 inch rims which make life painful if you want to do some more robust off road work. Does anyone have any ideas where I could find a good cheap set that I could put on when I choose to tackle the rough stuff.

    Welcome to the forum!

FWIW I purchased a 2010 Freelander 2 TD4-e and it came with a spare set of (4) 17inch rims in addition to the 19 inchers on the vehicle and in the boot.

To obtain the same genuine Landrover rim to use as a spare with the 17inch set I started by looking on-line in Australia, but I ended up shopping in the UK. I purchased an identical rim shipped over to my door for the princely sum of $218AU (the local Landrover crowd had quoted me $1400 for the same rim to be imported new from the UK!!).

If you don't mind me asking, who in the UK did you deal with?

I trawled on eBay in the UK and got lucky to find someone who not only had the exact rim I needed but was also prepared to ship it. The seller name was merlin_international.

FWIW - The Frelander 2 uses the same sizes as a lot of other cars in, what used to be PAG (Volvo, Ford, Jag, etc...). I have seen some of the test mules running on Volvo rims...

You might like to be a little cautious about rims from other brands. Check that the off-set matches to be completely happy.

Definitely and a double check of the PCD wouldn't hurt either.

Definitely double check but a lot of the 5x stud rims from other PAG cars will fit. Certainly worth concentrating your search there.

Don't forget that there is a massive amount of crossover & collaboration that went on between the brands in the PAG. Floor pans, suspension systems, engines, gearboxes, engine management, switchgear, blah, blah...
