			Key fob troubles

My key fob is basically stuck in. I can wiggle it out but the car thinks it is still in there. I can't lock the car and it starts without the fob in the slot. It is hard to pull it out if I push the key back in. The little servo motor that grabs the key and push's it back is not operating. Scott....have you had any in the service department with this problem? I have disconnected the battery overnight, no result. One thought is the contacts that must close when you put it in park are not closing. Anyone?

There's been a few socket failures over the years. I don't know if a repair is possible because they were usually just replaced without looking further into the cause/fault.
