Ok, here is the drum.
What they do is pull the fuse and disable the PTC heater via testbook (or whatever it is called these days).
It was recommended to me to pull the fuse ASAP if I wished and get in for the disable action when convenient.
I might just pull the fuse(F14, thanks djhampson) and get the rest done at the next service.

Then in my case as my VIN number is in the range of affected vehicles. Should I wait for the letter or take it up to Toowoomba who were keen to do it regardless of the letter?????
No need to wait for the letter but give the dealership a call before you drop in.
If they haven't done so already, they can double check that you need to have this done & so save you a trip if it doesn't need it.

Ok, I popped the bonnet to give this whirl today, the manual said fuse F16 under the bonnet. I removed the top cover and couldn't find F16 Turns out there was another cover that goes down between the fuse box and the air filter, Still no fuses.

Anyone seen these before? the PTC heater is the 100 amp one(in blue).
Mine seems to be missing so I shouldn't get the recall. Well in LR land anything is possible.

when you do remove the fusabul link (100amp) make shoure that you zip tie it the battery + cable, land rover is coming up with a way to fit it, so put it some were us tecs can see it an get it fixed fast for you when we need to put it back in, just to let you no, there has been no cars that have been on fire from this problem,,

I took mine in - dealer is 10 min from home and work. Just enough time for me to have a play in a Disco and Ranger and bug them about some accessories and it was done.
They will notify me when the replacement part comes in and it's another trip to the dealer. So, without the booster heater unit until them, lets hope they get it in before winter rolls around.
I guess if the dealership is a bit of a drive for you, you may want to try and reduce it to one trip.
