You should at least get the dealer delivery down to $995. You will only get free servicing if you work for a company that turns over more than $20M/y (I think, could be $30M/y). The rest I guess it depends if it's in stock or not. If not I doubt they'll give away much.

There are no reliability issues with the FL2, some problems yes but not wide spread or many. Maybe you read about the FL1? You should not hesitate based on reliability alone because it's really not an issue. The FL2 has a Peugeot diesel, Japanese gear box and fancy Swedish differential. However it happens to be put together in Britain by robots.

My last tank about 70L and got 680km so around 10L/100km this was about 90% city rest freeway.

seems like a bipolar bunch. Most love, some hate (because of time @ dealership).

I guess 52 reviews and an overall rating of 4/5 stars so seems like a true reflection. But FL2 and lemon can not be used together. Search here and at freel2.com and you will find issues but they will be minor and probably reflect the car market as a whole rather than LR specifically. I must admit I was concerned when I bought mine but it had been out in the UK for a year before and I followed its release closely. There were issues associated with software that were fixed, seat belts rubbing the plastic, creases in leather seats etc etc, all very mundane stuff. The biggest problem I have with mine at the moment is one of the driver side windscreen washers moves after 5000km so needs adjusting so often, so petty I haven't mentioned it to the dealer.

My advice is that if you want something a little different then go for it, the FL2 is a fantastic drive. I've got 30 000km on mine and I am still enjoying it. Commuting, camping, towing, beach driving, forest roads, pick up some milk etc it is very very good at these things. The wife loves the leather, power seats, climate control, sit up high and when the wife is happy I am.

i have just bought a RR sport and the deal on a new car (cheaper than the 08 plated demo stock) was so good i am still smiling...it looks like Lr are really trying to defy the GFC by incenting dealers to sell stock.. i noticed a 09 frelander in melb with 3000 klm on it for 39990 drive away..i reckon thats the best value for a top car you will find anyware.. anyway the older i get the more i have learnt is that if you dont ask you dont get..put a bit of pressure on and tell em u will sign on the spot for the right deal
