My club had a recent training weekend and as the 101 was off the road I took the Freelander which did very well.

We had a mix of later model landies and the improvements in TC are very noticeable. Mine being the oldest, I had to use plenty of revs to make the loose wheel spin a fair bit before TC kicked in. The early D2s also had to really spin their wheels but the D3s had virtually no spin before the TC kicked in.

Nice air Garry. Freebies are far more capable than they are given credit for, especially the diesels. Wish my wife would let me take hers out to play a bit more.

Chris and Susan certainly take some great photos. They sent me a bunch from the Brindies run on Sunday. I'd post some here but no Freebies on that run.. just other Landies and a couple of non-LR's. Gallery here 100321-LRC

    cheers, Paul.

Looking at them pics - maybe I should have gone. Looks like a nice day. I have never had an issue with the Freelander in the National Park area - even down to McIntyres Hut. It looks a bit crowded up on Corree.

Few pictures of my freelander2 and my mate's D3, We didn't do any hardcore 4 wheel driving, just visited places you wouldn't want to go with a family sedan.
