Nope, 33.3" for the ones I've measured (mine ) which equals what Maxxis claim.

The 255/85 Creepy is specced at 33.5" M8090 Creepy Crawler

the 255/85 762's that Ben and i have are specced at 33.3" and that's what they measure.

I was joking...... Justin from our club was running 35x12.5 16 Creepies and mentioned that the 255/85 tyres he fitted to Nath's car stood just as tall, obviously from your response this was not correct for what ever reason......

    For a 255/85/16 tyre.

Tyre is 255mm wide which is 10.039"

    So tyre height is width x aspect = 10.039X.85 = 8.53315"

So the height of the tyre/wheel combo is height of tyre x2 + wheel diameter

    So a 255/85/16 tyre is 8.53315" x 2 + 16" = 33.0663" +/- manufacturing tolerances.

This is no where near 35".

And sometimes the theory and manufacturing tolerances mean that tyres bear very little similarity to their supposed size.

Ive had 35"" tyres (Silverstones) that measure about the same as my 255/85 BFG's and also my 35" Krawlers measure about an inch bigger than new 35" Treps, and at least that much larger than a new 35" KM2 on a 17" wheel.

That is true but if there is more than "production" tolerance and the actual size is different to that marked etc then consumer law would apply.

I know when I was looking for tyres for the Cape last year, the Treps were advertised as being 31's but according to their website they were only 30.5, the Khumho's that I previously had were also quite a small tyre. The MTZ's and BFG Muds on the other hand are much closer to the actual stated size.
