    Changing D1a(95) for a D2a (2003 or 2004)

Hello all, due to the wife not liking the current disco I am looking for an upgrade. I am thinking of an Discovery 2a form 2003 or 2004

I would like to know if the following can be swap from an Discovery 1a 300tdi to and Discovery 2a td5
    1. Front Heavy Duty Axles and CV joints (these are from Rover Tracks USA Rover Tracks | Life on the trails in Colorado web site doesn't work any more)
    2. ARB Air diff locks
    3. Wheels. Do the D1 rims fit an D2?
    4. Rock sliders from Justin, DRanged on this forum. I will just PM him.

What are the odd types of things to look for when buying an used TD5?

The old D1 will be off load unreg as I doubt I could sell it with custom body work from trees that did not move fast enough and clear coat that just wont stay on. Also what would be the best way to get rid of a vehicle like this.

    Cheers
    Navron

    Rims are different>
    CV's different>
ARB Lockers will fit as usual 24 spline.
Axles not sure, but think different.
Sliders will be a bit short, but not by much. (so use them)

    Re buying a 2nd hand D2 Td5.
Search for one that has had the head gasket replaced.
Most tend to require replacement around 250K.
Alternatively a low k car would be worth while to explore.
Auto is usual ZF and manual is R380, so easy to replace if required.
Try to avoid buying one with the 3 amigo's showing in orange (Traction, abs, hill decent).
Ends up costing money to sort.
    Cheers Dave

If how grubby that is inside, and the handbrake adjustment are anything to go by I would be getting a lot more decent pics sent through before flying down.
